| Time after time we hear people living in Rochester complaining about Rochester. "It's too cold in the winter, there's nothing to do, it's the same people out every week." But then again people can be downers and no matter where you're reading this from, there's probably someone complaining about that place as well.
If you think about it, it's really just about people. It can be fun no matter where you are as long as you enjoy the peeps you're hanging with. And it doesn't hurt to hit up a nasty little Burlesque show to get the party started. There's a group here in Roc-City called Saints and Sinners holding these things about four times a year. This one was a Christmas theme and we snagged some video.
The show's hosted by the man in the center, a sleazy character with horrible one-liners. He's doing his thang. A variety of girls do 3-5 minute routines which, not surprisingly, end in nudity. There's also "The World's Angriest Juggler," who makes up for his poor juggling ability with scowls and sware words. Another lady swung fire balls around to dance music. Overall it's a decent show and we didn't see any of the usual complainers there. Which made us realize that even when there is something going on, they'll usually find some excuse not to show up. |
